Japan Earthquake 2011
Japan Earthquake 2011
Friday, 11th March
8.9 Magnitude
I'm sure by now most everyone has seen the devastating and tragic photos and videos of the aftermath of the quake and tsunami that hit Japan yesterday. This devastation is hard to digest and so unreal for those of us far away. However, it is real for those hit by the earthquake and tsunami. So, if you would like to help, go here or to Global Giving to find out how. Every little bit helps.
My thoughts and prayers are with those who are suffering directly or indirectly from this cataclysmic event.
As there are many photos of the devastation yesterday, I thought that it would be more compassionate to show photos of a peaceful looking ocean and a calm Mother Nature. Mother Nature provides us with such amazing beauty and can be a source of inner peace, but she can also bring much destruction and sadness.
Photos that I took a few years ago of the Pacific Ocean from my hometown Vancouver and White Rock in B.C., Canada.
