Flea Markets - oh sweet fun!

i hope you all had a wonderful week! the hubby and i spent the past week in rome. it was super busy, especially with the "pope" thing going on. knowing this, we steered clear of the vatican. i shall post some pics from that trip next time.

there are many markets for fresh food and cheap manufactured products; however, i haven't discovered very many organized flea markets.
so, imagine our surprise when we stumbled upon one in a little town down south.

there were many interesting things to be found but personally, too expensive for me.
i wanted to buy some old keys but they were charging 5 euros for each key
and that was just too much for my budget.

although, i'm not into organ music, i still found the organ
the most interesting thing at the flea market.
and one thing i love about italy is that you can find all types of lemon and citrus trees
growing just about everywhere.

  1. The air must be so nice with all the lemon and citrus trees around. Flea markets are so much fun to browse for their variety and I always hope to uncover some hidden treasures whenever I walk through one.

One of my friend's husband who is Italian actually told me about their fondness of eating rabbits there. I could never do it. I can't even eat bunny shaped things cause I don't want to bite their heads. I'm a part-time vegetarian in that I only eat meat 1-2x/wk and keep it veg the rest of the time. I don't think I could ever really completely give up meat though :)

Hope your week is going well!

  2. Flea markets are one of my favorite thing ever, and in a country like Italy, I would've died! All those colorful ceramics...

unfortunately, my husband hates flea markets, so it's usually a solo endeavor for me. Good for you that you got your husband to go with the flow.

  4. I'm so unhappy that in Poland you can rarely pop into such a market. I'd spend all my money there!
