Package Pals Follow - Up
Some of you asked me from my previous post what I got from my package pal, so I am absolutely delighted to tell you what that exactly was.
When I heard the doorbell ring a few weeks ago....I instantly knew that it was a special delivery from the postman. I reacted like a giddy school girl and couldn't wait to rip the package open from my new package pal, Kaycie who blogs over at Redhead Memories.
Kaycie put in some of my favourite sweets that I have been missing....which they don't sell here in Italy - Cadbury Chocolate and Reese's peanut butter cups. I've been eating these for as long as I can remember. She was so lovely to remember that I love anything to do with chalk and chalkboard paint and included some chalk and personally hand painted lovely mugs with black chalk paint. I'm using them as paintbrush and pen holders in my studio for now and here they are sitting next to the hand painted Christmas card that I've just finished
thank you Kaycie!

ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays, Reese. Enjoy the sweets from home. At this time of the year, and only then, I so much want all the things I had as a child at Christmas, the chestnuts, the sweet fried, home made ravioli, and a stuffed rabbit that perfumed the house through and through. Yes, at Christmas, every memory is recollected and appreciated.
ReplyDeleteHope you get a bit of home at this time.
p.s. I did tell you that I still have family in Venosa, in the province of Potenza. If you are ever in that region, email me.
