Italian Kitchen Design
My husband and I went to the Palace of Caserta (a Unesco World Heritage Site near Naples) over Thanksgiving weekend. We spent a lovely day with friends roaming around the gardens and Palace Rooms, and eating delicious Napolitan pizza. Napolitan pizza is very different from the Italian pizza that you find throughout most of Italy and is my favourite type of pizza. I shall share pictures of this trip next week because today I would like to share some images with you from an exhibition I went to in September showing the latest in Italian Kitchen Design.
this exhibition showcased many Italian companies from scavolini, snaidero and minacciolo just to name a few. i love going to this showcase every year and seeing the newest in italian appliances and design. however, my preferences still lean toward
scandinavian, american contemporary or traditional english design.
do you have a preference?
Reese
Lovely designs, but way too cold and sleek for my taste. I go for old-fashioned country, as in French country or old Italian styles.
ReplyDeleteOO so chic. I'm not sure if my style is "Italian" per say, but I love the open industrial look. Plus all that clean white makes anything look good in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos! Out of these, my favorite is the kitchen where your husband is opening the oven. I love white & stainless steal kitchens.
ReplyDeletesuch a fun showcase!! not really my style, but very fun to admire.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, thanks for sharing. Visit my blog sometimes =)
ReplyDeleteThose remind me a little of Ikea's kitchen sets. They are awesome. If I had a kitchen like ANY of those, I'm pretty sure I'd never leave it. I'd sleep on the floor and bathe in the sink :)
ReplyDeleteIncredible showcases, I find the third kitchen the most memorable. Would love to stroll through there. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeletevery sleek and european!
ReplyDeleteI love the one with the large book shelf...gorgeous and unique design. These are all really beautiful. Great photos! :) I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday xoxo.
ReplyDeleteI love the one with the large book case, such a unique design. They are all beautiful. Lovely photos. I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday xoxo.
ReplyDeleteso many great ideas- I love the built-in bookshelves!
ReplyDeleteI like all of those but I don't know if I'd feel all comfy in the house.
ReplyDeleteNow that would be a fun tour to go on!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the pics with us! Such a cool space:)
I can't say I know the difference between Italian, English, Scandinavian or American designs. But I will say that I have an eclectic taste. I like designs that are minimalist, sleek, cozy, quirky, kitschy, modern, vintage, etc. However, for my own place, I really enjoy something cozy and comfortable.
ReplyDeleteThese are great, thanks for sharing. I like the first and second but I prefer a darker wood.:D

These kitchens are so chic and cool. I'd expect nothing less from those Italians. :)
ReplyDeleteLovely kitchen designs. Though too large and impersonal for my taste. I have a tiny kitchen filled with color and warmth, and would not like it any other way. The pizza sounds really delicious. Glad you had a lovely time.
ReplyDeleteoh gosh, i'm kind of a sucker for scandinavian. but that cardboard espresso maker is super cute! :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! I love all of these kitchen designs. I just realized I wasn't following you, and that has been corrected!

ReplyDeletep.s. i heard napolitan pizza is THE best kind of pizza. i would love to taste that one day. :)
